In for this one, I've not been to Edgerley Park before.

Dear Supporter,

Thank you for booking a ticket for Stockport County v Reading on Saturday 27th September.

We have been informed today from Stockport that The Railway End where Reading supporters will be situated will be uncovered due to delays with Stockport County installing a temporary roof.

We wanted to let you know, so you can dress accordingly for the weather!

Thank you for your support

Ye Olde Vic is a funny one, feels like you're in someone's living room, but also has strange opening times, think it only opens at 5pm.

The Crown would be my key recommendation then heading into town there's plenty now, especially around Underbanks which is where I'll be going, after the Crown.

Avoid Castle Street which is the road closest to the ground, think they're all home only and get lively, the Armoury on the roundabout next the station is away friendly and a good stop off before heading in.

This was the discussion last time. I used to live not far from Stockport and trained nearby.

stealthpapes Ten odd years ago it was really shite.

#cuttingedgereviews

TBF I googled for the cancelled games and I would likely have a look at the crown and the brewery nearby, then the cluster of pubs on the other side of the pedestrianised bit - bakers vaults, swan with two necks.

Stockport Royal Yeah the own centre has got a lot better, I was down in London for 10 years and is much improved now I've returned.

If getting in early, the Bakers Vault (as mentioned) and the White Horse would be my choice, but the whole Underbank area is pretty decent now to be fair with small pubs and food places.

I think the Armoury opens to away fans on match day which is on the roundabout walking from the station to the ground.

Would possibly avoid Castle Street, the main road through Edgeley, the pubs are very much home only.

I'll be having a couple in the Alexandra as my nearest boozer and a cracking pub, I won't be wearing colours and have a northern accent to boot so can easily blend in.

Been 3 times - 2 heavy defeats (including the Terry the taxi 1-5) and a 0-1 where we also didn't show up.

I fear similar again so may give it a miss this time.
