There must be something missing from this ridiculous saga, either that or the current owners are complete lunatics.

These recent cases have shown there needs to be a special dispensation with sporting “businesses” whereby idiot owners can be forced to sell when offers are on the table and third parties can force a club into administration when necessary.

The Morecambe owner did pretty much the same thing at Worcester rugby but was unfortunately already in at Morecambe before doing it.

No idea why he does this - whether he feels the land has more value being used for something else but one hopes they get it sorted but sadly, unless the deal goes through quickly, you can see them having to restart at the bottom.

Looks like their idiot owner has finally agreed the sale but won’t hold my breath over it just yet.

After an investigation alongside the Sheffield Star it is understood the Championship club owes £1m.

A winding-up petition would increase the pressure on the club's owner Dejphon Chansiri to sell.

They are already under five separate EFL embargoes after failing to pay wages on time in five of the past seven months.

I cannot remember all the circumstances, but weren't we docked points for late payments of wages (I think we were for late payments to HMRC)?

If so, why have Weds not been hit yet?

It seems the EFL are really taking their time with the disciplinary process but it seems there will be something inevitably.

They will want to hold off sanctions as long as possible, as they know it's not the club it's the owner that's the problem, but eventually it's their only possible action. That's all entirely consistent with how they treated us.

Been mentioned elsewhere but appears that Wednesday are now in administration.

Not clear who put them in, which will be important, as I believe the person/entity that puts them in admin gets to appoint the administrator.

If it is confirmed then Weds will drop to -6 points, 15 points adrift of Sheffield United in 21st.
