I’m not sure he is that quick tbh.

If Doyle and Elliott out as expected wonder if he’d consider playing both Kelvin and MoM centrally. May give us some sort of target in the box. Obvs then zero options on the bench though unless he brings in Patton etc

Wouldn’t mind seeing

Stevens (sigh)
Abrefa Paudie D Williams Jacob/R Williams/Dorsett
Savage Wing
Lane/Ritchie Kelvin Lane/Ritchie/R Williams
MoM

GK, Patton, Yiadom, Dorsett, Ahmed, some other players

Royal Monkey How depressing is it going into a home league game against Stevenage, one of the smallest tinpot teams in the EFL and no one expecting us to win !
This is turning into one of the most miserable seasons ever !

Tinpot is relative. I expect we are tinpot in comparison to other clubs. Better to look at the game as one where we are playing a team who will go top with a win. I get that if you cling on to our history, the situation is depressing. Let it go and accept along with everyone else that this is who we are now. The club that 2013 Reading would call tinpot.

Looks like less tickets sold than Northampton - about 9,945 sold at this point (not including disabled; hospitality; nor away fans) compared to 10,259 for Northampton - although Northampton was originally a Saturday game and ended up with 8,846 home attendees.

Would be surprised if we're much over 9,000 total tonight - with it being a Thursday night; on TV; and Stevenage not being the most attractive game.

They might bring a relatively sizable amount of fans though, given how well they're doing in the league and the relative ease of getting between Stevenage and Reading, although their fanbase isn't very big to begin with.

In addition I reckon they're going to be right up for it and they will have a larger than expected following due to the fact that Stevenage's next league game (home v Bolton), scheduled for the international break, has already been postponed.

I have a feeling we might win tonight! Leam and his team have had a week now to work with the guys and get into their heads, yes a week isn't long but enough to get a few basic ideas over to the players. All these injuries may well put us into our backs to the wall mentality which some how we've thrived on these past few years.
Going for a narrow win in a near empty stadium tonight!! Thursday football has totally messed up my Saturday morning routine!!

IN for the We Have No Right to Win This blind positivity!

When we should win we don't, but when we shouldn't win we... ok, don't BUT

I dropped my phone down the toilet this morning and when I fished it out it had a bit of sodden toilet tissue flotsam on it in the shape of a face. If you squinted, it looked like the guy from the 7UP drinks back in the 1990s. If that's not a sign I don't know what is.

I’m certainly more positive after seeing the team.

Him too.

Didn’t expect Lane to be available either after going off against Carlisle.

I’m giving up my darts night for this. We had a top of table clash with the Curzon club.
