Steward Celebrating Goal

by Custard Cream » 24 Aug 2006 10:33

Did anybody else see the steward quietly celebrating Villa's 2nd goal and then turning round to watch us lot with a huge smirk on his face ..... I wanted to punch his lights out :x

He kept gobbing too - yuck!

Home steward in supporting his own team shocker. I'd have reported him to the police

It's an unmitigated outrage.

Anyone who gets provoked by someone celebrating a goal and grinning is a utter bellend IMO.

He did look like he was looking for a bit of trouble, but the ever-polite Reading fans didn't give him the satisfaction.

A load of stewards gathered towards the back of the Reading end to the left of the goal close to where I was sat for the penalty and presumably cheered. As long as they weren't deliberately inciting me or being ott about sitting down before the game and chanting like the scum that line the terraces at West Ham, I don't mind.

That's what pissed me off. Why was he being so foul? I did shout at him to stop spitting, without any swear words! He must have heard me... as I think he stopped after that...

His steward number was 221 so anyone who wants to report him, then please do.

He was a complete w@nker, after they scored, he turned round to us lot, smirked and clenched his fist. He was right infront of me. Also, at the final whistle, a couple of us went up to him and he told us to meet him outside to sort it out :?. Obviously saying that he wants a "fight". Another thing, when we were all going out, he turned round and done the w@nker sign at us, put the score up on his hands and gave us another grin.

I think people who saw him should report this prick, the worst steward I have ever seen.

Did he attack a bus full of disabled fans outside the ground? Namely the STAR coaches?

What side of the goal was he?

Left or right.

We were in line with the left hand post and we didn't see anything

Why don't you contact star who will then contact villa and complain, seems was a right prick and could get him the sack, if there's enough of you that want to complain do it.

I did check, but he always had his back to me when I looked, and the clear pocket on his back was empty... What's funny about this is, I was under the impression that stewards were supposed to keep their back to the game to make sure the crowd is ok...

I am glad he kept his back to us .... ugly bugger!

In answer to question above - he was to left of the goal from our perspective, in line with Seat 64
