Its not a good idea to sing any songs that refer to swindon. The Denzils must think its great, their league 2 and some Premier League team is singing about them, makes them feel a bit smug i should imagine. Time we moved on, weve got a premier league ground and team so lets drop this paradoxical admiration of some 'Mickey Mouse Outfit' and concentrate our rivalry with a proper club. Any way, swindon aren't our real rivals, theyr'e not even in our region, they just became our nearest rivals in 1976 after our promotion to div 3 when we left our 'True' rivals, Aldershot in div 4. Then, it was rivalry with Pompey for the next 10 years, how about rekindling that one? Mind you, getting this lot into a Peter Mate song should be interesting.
