SpaceCruiser Er, we're playing Manchester City, not Bristol City, 17 Bus. Why would Man City fans give him stick, what's he done to them?

You are an idiot sometimes.

Let me see, professional player gets in the papers for getting in a fight and being arrested. I wonder what they could find to give him stick about. Who they support is irrelevant.

And any centre-half worth his salt will be in his ear all game, winding him up.

Pennant anyone? "Send him back to jail" etc. What had he done to us?

To be fair he had just kicked out at Hunt (?) when we started giving him that sh*t. I hadn't heard it up until then.

Royalee I'll cheer him just as long as he puts some effort in on Monday.

As long as he puts some effort in? Well, that'd be rather splendid if he could manage it

Fact is, Coppell's hands are tied - Kitson injured, besides that the replacements are kids (Long, Cox etc.). For his irresponsible behaviour he'd fully deserve to be dropped..... fact is, we can't drop him because we have woefully few options up front - but then that is a different debate entirely.
Seol's an option, especially with Little having a game under his belt and Oster having impressed in his half hour against Wigan.

We'll avoid the headbutt , but SC should of given him a more stern word of warning. Something along the lines of 'one more and your out' job. he's a good player but he needs to learn that violence isn't the way @ RFC.

Steve Coppell is the kind of manager who would not air dirty linen in public. Whatever transpired in the meeting between Lita and Coppell will remain behind closed doors.

Until the defence lawyer declares it in court! eg 'My client has already been punished by his club, he was fined...............'

Before anyone points it out, that will, of course, only happen if Lita is found to be guilty.

Only if he has a stupid defence lawyer surely. The punishment from his employer has absolutely nothing to do with the punishment from the justice system and the crown and it never should.

Maybe there's a lot of stupid defence lawyers 'cos I've seen it said before. You are right in what you say but I suspect the lawyers are prepared to try anything to mitigate the sentence.

Should the fact that a drink driver will lose his/her job if disqualified influence the sentence passed? Doesn't stop lawyers pointing out that would happen.

In fact I believe courts are required to take that kind of thing into account when passing sentence i.e. the likely effect on a person's life. So maybe it's not so stupid for lawyers to point it out??

That doesn't mean that a court will give two flying monkeys whether Lita has already paid a fine or not, considering his salary!!

Lita is an asset to our glorious team, he scores regular goals and we should be behind him whatever happens, he is a young man who probably had a few drinks and was feeling down after the loss, this is no excuse for violence or for bringing the clubs fair play reputation into question but it is something im sure we can all understand even if none of us have been involved in a fight
