After the International break, Reading return to League action this weekend as Derby visit the Madejski Stadium. The Royals will be bidding to end a run of five games without victory that has seen them sink to 13th in the Championship table after a bright start to the season. The win-less run includes last month's 0-2 defeat at Derby in the third round of the League Cup, which Reading will be seeking revenge for. Before that game the Royals had been unbeaten in seven games against the Rams after five wins and two draws. Our last home game against Derby was in March 2014 when the sides played out a 0-0 draw.

Reading have also lost to Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford, both away from home, over the last month. The last five games for Reading have included just one home fixture for Reading - the 3-3 draw with Wolves when Hector, Taylor and Murray were all on the scoresheet. Derby have been in excellent form, undefeated since August and are fourth - just a point off the top of the table.

Reading players did well on International duty over the last week, with the home nations all flying high in European Championship qualification. Norwood had two excellent games for Northern Ireland as he continued his superb club form. Meanwhile Jake Taylor made his Welsh debut as Robson-Kanu and Chris Gunter also enjoyed an upturn in Welsh fortunes. Hal Robson-Kanu hit the headlines for an excellent goal, that turned out to be the winner, after he was set up by Gareth Bale. Adam Federici played the whole second half for Australia againsst Qatar but was in for disappointment as the Socceroos lost by a single goal that Federici conceeded. Better news for Reading was the safe return of International players with no new injuries. Reading still have the same players on long term injury and Danny Guthrie may miss out against Derby as he returned to the treatment room with a hamstring problem.
